Monthly Archives: January 2014

Our fly away to Mt Gambier is less than two months away so it is time to organise your aircraft and passengers for the weekend March 8 – 10.

You will find the draft itinerary below.  As well as some interesting sightseeing, we will be getting together with the local aviation community.  We will be having lunch with the Mt Gambier Aero Club on arrival.  On the way home, we will be stopping at Robe for lunch and members of the Robe Aero Club have kindly offered to provide transport from the airfield and back, and they will join us for lunch somewhere in town.

If you are thinking of coming, please let me know by email (captain@aldingaaeroclub.org.au) or phone 0414 538 542.

We will be staying at the Grand Central Motel in Mt Gambier.  They are holding 10 rooms for us, with a mixture of twin and double rooms.  To book, call the motel directly on 08 8725 8844 and tell them you are with the Aldinga Aero Club booking.

They will hold the rooms only until February 21 so please make your booking early.

There are several club members without aircraft who are keen to come so, if you have spare seats and can take someone along, please let me know as soon as possible.
