The support of the Aldinga Aero Club has assisted Angel Flight by transporting many of our patients and their families from all parts of South Australia (and even Victoria) for medical treatment in Adelaide hospitals.

This has been made possible by South Australian company, ElectraNet Pty Ltd, who has provided sponsorship funds to the Aldinga Aero Club to be used to help defray the costs associated with fuel used on flights performed by volunteer pilots from the Club.

Currently, Angel Flight assists our volunteer pilots by paying for all fuel used during the course of an Angel flight. This cost is currently in the vicinity of $40,000 per month.

The assistance of Aldinga Aero Club and ElectraNet has provided an invaluable benefit to Angel Flight by being able to utilise those funds to the benefit of the South Australian community.

The Club and its pilots have now flown many times to rural and regional areas of South Australia, making life just that little bit easier for people with sick family members to receive the medical treatment they so desperately need.

Angel Flight is proud to be associated with the pilots of Aldinga Aero Club, who are at the forefront of providing assistance to Angel Flight so we can make a difference to the people of Australia.

The Aldinga Aero Club & Angel Flight.

Electranet will be sponsoring Angel Flight, based out of the Aldinga Aero Club for the third year in a row. This was announced at a major function held at the Aero Club – the Leukaemia Foundation Charity Family Day.

This year the club will be holding several special events. Some are specifically for Aldinga Aero Club Members and others for charity.

• Sat May 30: Film Night for Members
• Sun Sep 13: Dawn Patrol. Briefing 0600
• Sun Nov 8: National Fun Flight Charity Day. Starlight Foundation & Camp Quality

Previus events this year included “Come fly with me. Family Day, Joyflights for Leukaemia foundation” back in March.
