Message from Terry Cahalan.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who combined to make our inaugural learn to fly day such a resounding success. Firstly John Chambers for initiating the concept. We also should thank the pilots John Bone, John Chambers, Phil Patti, Trevor Chapman and Steve Mc Guinness. To Phil and Terry Hassam for their cooking  duties and  Anne John who was superb in organising the lunch which was to be for 30 but turned out to be about 45 Her effort was appreciated. To Gordon Burnard who replenished the larder and cleaned the place up. Thanks to David De Mille and his apprentice David .Those who have seen the video realise what a fantastic job they have done. One comment about the day. If we are to show DVDs, we should have a temporary covering on the northern window. I would like to see this event continue but maybe with a different format. We  might contact a local High School and have a day for some year 11s or 12s with the same format. This can be discussed at a later time I will contact Messenger this week and thank them for their input and also thank Martyn for his excellent presentation. Thanks again for a wonderful day.

Terry Cahalan

(ed: Thanks to Terry for his efforts with Messenger and on the day.)
